Dermatologist Christine Brown has noticed an increased risk of cancer in people who wear clear, shiny lip balms and glosses during exposure to the sun. A study indicates that the death rate among cancer patients suffering with melanomas of the head and neck is almost double as compared to people suffering with melanomas elsewhere. The research is based on the data collected from 51,704 US melanoma patients. According to the latest study conducted by a team of researchers at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in Australia, the tallest women were found to be 30% more prone to cancer as compared to their shorter counterparts. However, in other studies, breast and colon cancers have been found to be more prevalent in taller women as well.
